Specialising in Duke of Edinburgh (DofE) expeditions on the stunning River Severn, we bring years of experience and a passion for adventure to support participants on their journeys. 

But that’s not all - we also offer school and group activity days, designed to inspire teamwork and outdoor skills in an engaging and supportive environment. For those pursuing home education, our Kinver-based courses provide unique, hands-on learning experiences that connect participants with nature.

Looking for a family adventure? From Easter to September, families & friends can hire a kayak on the scenic Kinver canal at The Vine Inn during weekends and school holidays. It’s the perfect way to relax and explore this beautiful area together.

Join us to develop teamwork, navigation, and outdoor skills while immersing yourself in the natural beauty of the region.

Kayak sessions for schools & groups 
kinver

Take your pupils or group kayaking on the canal in Kinver. Our qualified & DBS checked instructors will deliver a 90 minute kayak session, which is the ideal end of term treat or a great way to incorporate outdoor education into your school. 

Min group size 12/max 24 per session.

Book an Adventure Day in Kinver for your pupils which combines a choice of activities at Kinver Scout Camp and kayaking on the canal. Activities include kayaking, climbing, archery, bushcraft, high ropes and orienteering. Activities are delivered by our qualified/DBS checked instructors.

Home Education

Our six-week home education courses offer kids a fun outdoor experience. With activities like bushcraft and paddlesports, children develop teamwork, practical skills and a love for nature. Led by expert guides, these hands-on courses inspire curiosity, build friendships and create lasting memories through fun challenges and adventure.

We are a fully licensed (AALA) to take schools on an exciting canoe descent of the River Severn, with the option to travel back to the start point on the Severn Valley Railway on select days. Our expert instructors will be there to look after you every step of the way. 

 

Location: Bridgnorth, River Severn.

Hire a kayak at weekends and the school holidays based at The Vine Inn, Kinver. Our 90 minute self guided trips are great for families and friends age 5+ as well as birthday parties. Enjoy a leisurely paddle on our sturdy sit on top kayaks followed by a trip to the pub.  Available April-September.  Only £12 per child and £15 per adult.

Introducing Monty Beaumont, the Operations Director of Bear Creek Adventures and an expert in outdoor education, with a particular focus on Duke of Edinburgh (DofE) expeditions on the River Severn.

 

As the owner and director of River Severn Canoes, Monty brings a wealth of experience and a deep connection to the river, making him uniquely equipped to lead our DofE adventures. His extensive knowledge of the River Severn, combined with his enthusiasm for empowering young people through outdoor challenges, ensures that every expedition is both safe and inspiring. Monty has also led DofE Expeditions as a teacher, so understands your world.

 

Monty’s expertise guarantees that participants will not only develop new skills but also create unforgettable memories along one of the UK’s most beautiful waterways.
